Andrew Reeves

Extremely shocked and upset by news this morning of the untimely death of Andrew Reeves from a heart attack. Was rung first thing this morning and told the tragic news. Andrew was so young – and just recently married his long term partner.

Andrew came to be my Head of Office when I was elected to Parliament in 2005. He was a warm, lovely guy – a very kind person and great character. Liberal Democrats will all be very sad to hear of his death.

  1. This is the saddest news. Until Andrew moved to Scotland, one of the highlights of my visits to the Constituency Office was the greeting and hug from Andrew. It was always a pleasure to be with him. He will be much missed by everyone who knew him.

  2. Can only just agree with Derek’s comments. Andrew really did the best he could with the resources he had available in the Scottish Elections and what he did was excellent. I know he’ll be missed politically by us but particularly those who were closer to him and knew him better than me.

  3. This is awful, he was a trooper in Southwark, and very good at dealing with the vast range of different people that crossed threshold of that tiny office in the church annexe. Far too young.

  4. Lynne,

Is this the same Andrew who I met and who also worked for your constituency office?

I am devastated to learn about the loss of Andrew Reeves. It is with overwhelming sadness that I convey my condolences to his family and closest loved ones.

Whatever our differences, I am sure we would all want to celebrate all the good work Andrew did and everything he achieved and that for this he will be remembered in our memories. He was passionate about politics and it is a cause he pursued until his last breath. I commend him for that.

May I express my sincerest sympathy to his family and loved ones at their most difficult hour.

    Mash
