The excellent Rock the House competition has come round again, and four local bands have asked me to nominate them.
I can only send one band through to the final though and I need your help to decide who that should be.

The Doghouse
The doghouse are an excellent, youthful, funky band and I can recommend them to you.
I have heard them three or four times now.
2 Tone Red – Are almost fresh off the block playing with retro style rock, blues, Latin and soul influences with a modern twist. Great to listen to with hooky melodies and lyrically charged songs but even better to see live with the two sexy vixens always giving great performances. Vote – 2 Tone Red –

Jane Honda. Fantastic band that are fronted by a great singer. They have a 60’s retro sound with a 21st century twist, which results in a feel good sound!

You aint seen anything until you’ve seen Jane Honda!! Tis a pity we couldn’t see all the bands together at a play-off. Jane Honda’s next gig is this Wednesday night at Nambucca on Holloway Road. Please come and support them! xx
As this draws to a close just to say thank you so much for all the work, effort and thought invested by Ed Maxfield who organises “Rock the House” and specials thanks to Lynne, what a great example of local action again!
Heartfelt thanks to all the doghouse supporters and hope to see you soon – next gig is on 24th May at the Dusk till Dawn in Archway (just opposite the station). Hope to see you there!
