Why I blog

I have written a short piece for Iain Dale’s new publication on the top Lib Dem, Tory and Labour blogs.

You can read my piece here.

I’ll also be saying a bit more on the subject at Lib Dem conference on Sunday night at the bloggers’ reception. So if you’re a Lib Dem blogger reading this – see you there!

Meanwhile it’s busy, busy – with speeches to prepare for next week on top of all the other usual work.

  1. You should blog away your reflections on the Guardian Free Comment blog, where you would be welcome to criticise, express views and vilify other bloggers freely. Unfortunately, most blogs have become spacious places to begin anonymous diatribes against people of every racial and faith community. Furthermore, most Muslims refuse to blog as the word ‘terrorism’ and ‘suicide bombing extremist’ is always thrown at them. However, I have come to the rescue to save all the Muslims 🙂 I LOVE BLOGGING- I WANT MORE MPs to blog on national website i.e Guardian Free Comment- we live in a liberal democracy.

  2. LynneSadly I won’t be able to hear your words at the event because despite having a media pass your colleagues have seen fit to ban me from the event. As a consequence I shan’t be driving down to Brighton that evening with the Guides. Hey ho.

  3. It’s a shame we won’t have your guides Iain, but it’s nothing personal – just as at all conference, there are some events (including receptions) which aren’t events for the press. So not a special rule just for you!
