The highest ranking ethnic minority officers are completely correct to suggest that anti-terrorism laws discriminate against Muslims and would further criminalise ethnic minorities, whom are increasingly becoming disengaged from the political process in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, in my opinion, both rank and file officers within the Metropolitan Police urgently require some serious diversity training, which would address concerns, needs and beliefs of British Muslims. The British Muslim community are not criminals, we are law-abiding citizens being driven to criminality.
